Only meeting requests which are accepted by the other party will be scheduled, ensuring you only have meetings that you (and they) want.  With over 1,500 participants expected from around Europe and the world, this powerful partnering service will provide you with the ability to identify and meet the international participants who are most relevant to you.

The power of pre-event online partnering is evident at EBD’s major European business to business meetings (BIO-Europe and BIO-Europe Spring), where a thousand pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies participate in over 7000 pre-arranged one to one meetings in just 2 days. These pre-arranged half hour partnering meetings have led to numerous collaborations and deals over the years.     THE PROCESS

    If your goal at the European Congress of Biotechnology is to find potential partners, collaborators, investors, perhaps even someone to license your project, then you should start now to arrange your personal schedule of 30 minute meetings, to be held concurrent to the conference sessions. To help you leverage the power of online partnering, EBD will guide you through the process with a series of email updates and reminders. Meetings can only be arranged by active participants, so take action today to ensure you are profiled, visible and online. 

    Profile: Start by profiling your organization, products and technologies. Profile changes made after 31 August will be visible online, but not in the print version of the conference handbook.

    Search and Request: When the full system is launched in July, you can browse or search through everyone else’s profiles, products and technologies, and request meetings with individuals or companies who are relevant to your own research and development. 

    Availability: Mark when you are and are not available for partnering meetings, to avoid scheduling conflicts.

    Responses: Log in regularly to check for incoming messages and requests.  If someone requests a meeting, you can read their comments and organizational profile to determine whether or not a meeting with them would be good use of your time. Whether you accept or decline the meeting request, the other person will be able to see your response in their account. The integral messaging system allows you to communicate with other delegates prior to accepting their meeting request, and also to exchange information in preparation for your agreed meetings in Barcelona.

    Scheduling: EBD will schedule all agreed meetings, based on the availability of all participants, using powerful algorithms to ensure everyone has the maximum possible number of meetings over the course of the event.

    Your Personal Agenda: Your preliminary schedule will be available a week before the congress will then be updated daily, and you can collect a printed schedule when you arrive at the event.
